The MTCMH IT team requires a SR. Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications for all functional disciplines within the two Columbus facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • New software analysis, architecture, design and development.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of workforce through software development and enhancement.
  • Respond to requests from internal entities for software development and support.
  • Act as a super user for the business for all data hub related questions and issues.
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone and email.
  • Provide Support for all Production software. 
  • Collaborate with peers by sharing code and knowledge

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field, or an applicable Associates degree augmented with significant experience is required.
  • At least five years of programming experience, preferably within a manufacturing facility, is required.
  • Proven proficiency in multiple programming languages.
  • Experience C#, VB.Net, WPF, Linq, Entity Framework, SQL, and SSRS
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of relational database architecture and operations; including the ability to create tables, queries, forms, reports, and automated routines.
  • Extensive knowledge and practice in data extraction and manipulation.
  • Proficiency with development tools such as Microsoft Access and WinBatch.
  • Ability to work on a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to take assigned tasks to completion with minimal need of additional resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluent English required); including the ability to visualize the required application from a less than complete description and propose needed changes or functions.
  • Highly organized with a thorough understanding of business / manufacturing practices.
  • Experience working with serial, USB, and network communications.
  • Experience writing application documentation.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
