Systems Engineer Intern

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Our Research & Development Team is currently searching for a Systems Engineering Intern to s
upport R&D in evaluating and testing new products; and/or to create Microsoft Word forms that mimic the functionality of our existing InfoPath Pac forms.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in reviewing project instructions, requirements and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives and test equipment
  • Under direction, set up, conduct and document test steps of units, components, sub-assemblies and accessories.  These tests will include benchmarking, stress testing and monitoring endurance tests
  • Organize and thoroughly document test results
  • Assist in evaluating technical problems and offering possible solutions
  • Assist in writing manufacturing test procedures and determining their pass criteria
  • Create Microsoft Word forms from a VBA template allowing us to replace our existing InfoPath Pac forms.  Some forms will require some VBA programming
  • Assist in investigating and reproducing issues reported by manufacturing, field service or product marketing

What You Need to Succeed

  • Pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Science, or other technical field
  • Ability to work in a lab and apply analytical instrumentations under mentorship
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically MS Word and MS Excel
  • Programming experience, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus
  • System hardware/software troubleshooting skills
  • Meticulous in documenting test steps and results
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
