Data Load Specialist

Ihre Aufgaben

The Data Load Specialist is the Subject Matter Expert in area of SAP Data Loads and Migration. You will be responsible for daily data mass uploads and technical verification of its correctness. You will support DG Operations Manager in improvement of the current process by defining the rules, management of service requests with business stakeholder globally, our outsourcing partner in India, our data operation teams spread globally as well as our technical teams. In addition, you will be responsible of maintaining and changing our mass load tools (e.g. LSMW). This all in line with our Global Vision of working in a 24x7 environment and providing mass change as a service to our business. This function has a direct impact on the overall ability of the METTLER TOLEDO data management organization to fulfill the data management services (Service Level Agreements) to the business while achieving high quality master data.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute uploads of cleansed and enriched data into the pre-production and production systems across the SAP landscape on a daily basis.
  • Works closely with global business stakeholders to ensure service delivery, improve data migration awareness, address key issues, revises ongoing mass update request and prioritizes tasks.
  • Monitors the proper execution of mass data loads, log errors, and identifies load related errors.
  • Interact with various stakeholders from IT, business and data governance team to pro-actively solve issues and improve data migration processes.
  • Deliver excellent service and guidance to business and project stakeholders in area of data migration processes.
  • Change and create load tools as required following our standard change process (e.g. adaptation of LSMW).
  • Excellent understanding of the master data tools and technical dependencies within the current IT Infrastructure and capability to manage the ongoing changes.

Ihr Profil

  • SAP Technical experience: LSMW, Additional Load Programs (BAPI,SAP Scripts), SAP data model structure.
  • Good knowledge of SAP ERP and CRM in the area of Master Data and cross-object dependencies.
  • SAP Data Management Experience 2-3 years, ideally coming from data migration projects.
  • Other Technical experience: MS Excel (including VBA Macros), MS Access, ETL Tools.
  • Experience with international project participation, Project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the following areas – Middleware, PI, SAP MDM, SAP MM and SD functional knowledge is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and precise way of working.
  • Willingness to work sometimes outside normal business hours (weekend or evening work).
