Mettler Toledo Rainin is looking for a Depot Service Technician to work in our facility.  The Depot Service Technician tests, cleans, repairs and reassembles Rainin pipettes, as well as other brands of pipettes not distributed by Rainin. The Technician conducts mechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and inspection on pipettes serviced to ensure conformance to established specifications. Assists in ensuring repairs and verification standards are achieved.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling pipettes and equipment.
  • Performing inspections on units received for component defects and ensures all repair work meets established quality standards.
  • Completing related paperwork such as work sheets, part usage tallies, and repair estimates.
  • Expediting priority orders through the database system.
  • Contributing in meeting established turn-around-time requirements and standards. 
  • Reassembling pipettes and following through on customer instructions relating to orders, such as requests for additional parts.
  • Following testing  procedures for pipettes and equipment.  
  • Testing and evaluating pipettes to meet the appropriate standards.
  • Completing related database entries and associated paperwork
  • Accounting for parts used and directs orders to the next stage in the process.

Ihr Profil

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of one year related experience in Manufacturing, Instrumentation, and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.  Ability to effectively present verbal information to customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.          
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic knowledge of computers and a working knowledge of common Microsoft Office programs.
