We are looking for a Global Key Account Manager to join our team and be responsible for leading and developing cross-divisional business for selected Global and North American (NA) key accounts. You will be responsible for achieving profitable and sustainable growth through proactive strategic account development, coordination of cross-divisional activities and executive relationship development. As a Global Key Account Manager, you will work closely with all the NA divisional Sales and Service Teams to devise and implement sales strategies for the identified accounts and with the global product organizations where needed. Our goal is for the GKAM to be passionate about developing new and long lasting Win-Win partnerships with our large key customers by acting as the first main point of contact with headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Achievement of business objectives for Global and NA selected target accounts. Develop regional intelligence regarding the Key Account; Strategic initiatives & investments, competitive landscape, ongoing projects and activities in each strategic business unit /account site, sales position. Provide regular reporting on account intelligence, account plan execution and KPIs to various management levels when required. 
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to create cross-divisional opportunities and build and maintain strong executive business relationships with selected target accounts providing a focal point of contact between each key account and the organization. Where required, take the lead in the development and negotiation of contractual agreements with target accounts. 
  • Create and execute cross-divisional penetration plans for target accounts, providing Sales Force Guidance directions per Strategic Business Unit and account. Maintain close liaison with all NA sales and service management teams, to ensure effective implementation and execution of account plans and support field sales teams with go to customers and Cross-divisional value added events. Work with and provide input to Global Key Account counterparts in Europe, Asia and rest of the world when needed for globally selected Key accounts. 
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of Mettler Toledo products and services and be able to communicate the value offered by our solutions to customers

Ihr Profil

  • A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with a minimum of 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience in managing channel strategies or key account relationships on a regional or national level.
  • A minimum of 5 years of key account management or sales management experience is required, preferably in a Mettler Toledo unit or related industry.
  • Experience in sales or market management and knowledge of Mettler Toledo products across multiple Mettler Toledo business units is desired and a plus.
  • Knowledge of key/global account management methodology and process.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative, competitive environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven experience in a leadership role. This role requires very strong leading without authority kills.
  • Strong understanding of the Food Industry and Food account organization structures.
  • Strong customer orientation with ability to develop executive level relationships.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to read communication styles of customers and team members and interact effectively.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, customers, internal departments and third party subcontractors and vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to make presentations to senior groups and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be team player, creative problem-solver, goal oriented and relationship focused.
  • Strong presentation and data analyses skills
