Ihre Aufgaben

As part of Global Supply Chain Management, Global Engineering is responsible for standardizing electronic and electromechanical product groups at the regional or global level. Strategic department and supplier management as well as concurrent and value engineering will further optimize costs and time to market. To supplement the Global Engineering Team, we are looking for one Value Engineering Champion 100% (f/m/d).

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

You will create concepts and implement Value Engineering (VE) processes, roles and responsibilities within the company and represent VE as process owner within the PLM community
You will support different Units to implement and run VE in a sustainable way and coach them in VE related projects
Additionally you will cooperate closely with Supply Chain Engineers, Module Engineers and Category Managers to find and analyze continuously potentials for cost reduction through value engineering, design for manufacturability and standardization in the categories
Furthermore, you will build, manage and run VE expert circle with the Unit experts but also track and report VE achievements on Group Level
You will drive and ensure supplier integration but also organize and ensure VE trainings globally
Last but not least you will continuously improve the VE-concept and drive and ensure supplier integration projects

Ihr Profil

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

You have a bachelor or master degree in Engineering, additional education in BA would be a big asset
At least 5 years relevant work experience in Value Engineering, design for manufacturability and standardization, if possible gained in an international matrix driven company
Experienced in Lean Management like JIT, TPM, 5S (Kaizen)
You have strong analytical, conceptual and strategic competences and you are a strong negotiator and influencer with proven project management skills, able to deal with complex initiatives and to lead through persuasion with all levels and cultures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with proven record of successfully presenting to all levels of a global organization, German and or Chinese skills are a big plus
Open to travel up to 30%
