Human Resources Business Partner

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources professional to become our HR Business Partner (HRBP) for an enormously important and impactful part of our business - Field Service. In this role, you will work closely with the business leaders in Field Service and be the primary HR contact for our Field Service Technicians located across the country. Our HRBPs are individual contributors who report to the Head of HR for the Mettler Toledo unit located in Columbus, OH. You will work in Columbus at our location on Polaris Parkway.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Taking lead on all HR activities, following established policies and procedures, related to the Field Service part of our business. This includes:
    • Employee relations and disciplinary actions
    • Compensation and benefits, including comp reviews and bonuses
    • Training and development support for Service Techs and Service Management
    • Compliance
    • Interviewing potential new hires and working with Talent Acquisition on hiring challenges
    • Managing the annual performance review cycle
  • Developing strong relationships with our business leaders and employees. Thoroughly understanding the roles in Field Services, their challenges, and their day-to-day HR needs.
  • Contributing toward successfully onboarding and mentoring new hires to guide them through their critical first year
  • Evaluating the talent pipeline for succession planning and development opportunities

Ihr Profil

  • A bachelor's degree
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in HR positions
  • Experience working with a non-exempt employee population 
  • Experience working with a field-based, distributed workforce is a strong plus
  • The ability to travel occasionally
