European patent attorney 60 – 80 % (f/m/d)

To strengthen our Intellectual Property Team in Greifensee we are seeking for an experienced European patent attorney 60 – 80 % (f/m/d).

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • You will be in charge of the invention reports and for drafting the patent applications in close collaboration with Research & Development
  • You will be responsible for all patent aspects including prosecution, defense and enforcement of patent rights as well as for performing freedom to operate analyses
  • IP portfolio management, supporting the decision making process for international filings belong also to your tasks as the active management of Mettler Toledo's IP rights
  • Furthermore, you will evaluate the contract terms related to IP and coordinate with the Legal departments on the drafting and negotiating of same

Ihr Profil

Following requirements are necessary for this role:
  • You have a master degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar fields, and a broadly based interest in science and technology
  • You are (partially) qualified as European Patent Attorney with experience in a law firm or in industry is requested, experience with Trademarks is considered to be a plus
  • You are highly interested in patent law and interdisciplinary matters with a will to broaden horizons in this field and taking pleasure in a variety of intellectually stimulating work, experience in patenting of Computer Implemented Inventions would be favorable
  • You have well-developed analytical and writing skills, finely honed interpersonal skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and to handle several projects simultaneously
  • We request fluent English and German language skills
