IT Support Technician

Ihre Aufgaben

Our IT Group is looking for a dynamic, energetic individual to join the team. The primary focus of this position is to provide IT support to the MT AutoChem business unit and work in close collaboration with the Corporate IT team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Running the first level IT support to all end users with their workplace environment including  PCs, laptops, printers, telephones and all related equipment
  • Relating back to all second level support functions to further escalate incidents and service requests to ensure appropriate resolution
  • Running local applications
  • Setting up new workplace environments and perform software installations
  • Following SOX and internal audit controls and related documentation including policies
  • Performing daily operations tasks in a high quality to achieve service levels and improve the end user experience
  • Operating key service reports, system performance measures and the business unit specific SOX controls and documentation
  • Supporting the Local IT Manager to operate and maintain the entire site IT infrastructure, e.g., the Local Area Network, the server, storage and backup environment
  • Documenting work order solutions in Help Desk
  • Sharing knowledge within and across local IT and participate in meetings with them and Corporate IT

Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar role in a mid-size IT environment with an IT ticketing system
  • Good knowledge of MS client operating systems, MS office products and other applications, PC hardware technologies, and backup infrastructure and operations
  • Working knowledge of basic Active Directory, systems administration and data center hardware, and networking concepts (routing, switching, VLANs, port configuration, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SOX requirements as they relate to IT
  • Knowledge of Android / Apple cellphone IOS, Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 Server
  • Working knowledge of (Dell) PC / Laptop troubleshooting and repair  
  • Familiarity with server related technologies such as virtualization, storage provisioning and backup management
  • An understanding in networking related technologies such as switching, routing, DHCP, LAN, WAN and network troubleshooting skill
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with end users as well as IT personnel in a distributed environment
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical employees
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks on time
