Instrument Manufacturing Lead

RAININ is currently hiring Instrument Manufacturing Lead to join our manufacturing operations in Oakland, California. As an Instrument Manufacturing Lead you will assemble plastic, metal, or electronic components to produce pipettes or other small laboratory instruments. In this role, your responsibilities would include: 

  • Support managing time and attendance of production team 
  • Maintains communication within and across departments supporting production
  • Maintains safety, quality, and production goals
  • Works at different work stations as production needs require.
  • Performs product quality inspections
  • Maintains and manages 5S in the production areas
  • Trains the production team on applicable procedures to the production area
  • Performs and/or assigns personnel to clean equipment and work area
  • Maintains accurate quality records
  • Ensures documentation, manufacturing areas conform to cGMP and Standard Operating Procedures at all times
  • Must be a team player
  • Assists in the development of new OEM products
  • Assist in the training of new shift personnel, as required.
  • Provide input to employee performance management process for shift personnel
  • Manage the execution of special projects as assigned by Operations management
  • May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

·       Skilled in area of pipette manufacturing or testing or packaging

·       Can-do attitude

·       Hard working

·       Team oriented

·       Good communicator

·       Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

·       Good computer skills with various programs (Micro-Soft Office, File-Maker, Oracle, etc.)

·       Willing to work overtime when needed

·       Ability to work at a fast pace and is multitask talented

·       Basic math and writing skills

·       Experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies a plus

·       Production/manufacturing experience preferred
