Mettler Toledo Rainin is looking for a Lead Service Technician to assist the Pipette Service Supervisor with coordinating the daily operational activities of the Pipette Service Department with a focus on ensuring that repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and verification standards are achieved. The Lead Service Technician is next in line to supervise the Department in the absence of the Supervisor. The Lead is actively involved in the training of department employees, company sales/service personnel and others as designated. The Lead also responds to customer inquiries, projecting a positive image of both the company and the Pipette Service Department. 

Your responsibilities would include:
  • Scheduling, assigning, and coordinating the achievement of daily and weekly production related assignments.
  • Ensuring that all pipette service related duties such as repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration tasks are completed within the established turn-around time standard. 
  • Personally overseeing and assisting the Pipette Service technicians with the completion of daily assignments and the proper flow of customer orders through the established Pipette Service system.
  • Demonstrating the ability to repair and calibrate multiple types of pipette products processed by the Pipette Service Department in an acceptable manner. 
  • Monitoring Pipette Service technician quality and conducting unannounced quality “spot” checks on  technicians' work as needed.
  • Analyzing, documents, and maintaining data relating to technician performance and reporting related information to the Pipette Service Supervisor.
  • Participating in and administering training to Pipette Service employees, sales personnel, and other related individuals as directed by the Pipette Service Supervisor.

Ihr Profil

  • High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience in Manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and prior work experience. 
  • Previous knowledge or work experience with pipettes.               
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
  • Ability to write correspondence.  
  • Ability to effectively present verbal information to customers and other employees of the organization.               
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Knowledge of computers and a working knowledge of common Microsoft Office programs
