Pipette Tester

Ihre Aufgaben

We are currently hiring Testers to join our manufacturing operations in Oakland, California. Responsibilities would include: 
  • Reading work instructions to learn and do testing procedures. Following verbal training instructions from Leads or other trainers assigned by Leads.
  • Moving trays of pipettes and other testing supplies to the testing station. Performing and following leak test procedures, as outlined in work instructions, which includes tasks such as visually inspecting the pipette, operating the pipette, connecting the pipette to a vacuum-testing device and operating the device, and observing the liquid levels drawn by the pipette.
  • Comparing the test results to the appropriate specification and writing the results on report forms.
  • Failing pipettes that do not meet specifications and labeling them as defective pipettes.  Being able to fill out documents and return defective pipettes to the Assemblers for rework.
  • Communicating with Leads and Supervisor about test results both verbally and in writing.
  • Recording the status of testing on the tray label and moving the trays away from the testing station.
  • Following safety guidelines outlined in the illness & Injury Prevention Plan

Ihr Profil

  • Comfort with reading and interpreting safety rules, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and production schedules. 
  • The ability to write routine reports and speak effectively to fellow employees. 
  • Preferably, a high school diploma or GED. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to focus on task for extended periods of time 
  • Experience using pipettes is a plus.
