Job Summary

This individual will work as part of our production team and is responsible for the research and innovations required to improve safety, improve product quality, increase production productivity, decrease costs, and improve process robustness.

This individual will leverage available resources to make data driven decisions and project justifications- benchmarking and monitoring improvements. 

The individual will work to identify foundation improvement opportunities aiming to instill best practices into a 24x7 production operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day management of system data (Routings, Std times, etc.)
  • Work closely with team members and with  cross departmental resources like Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Technical Operations, Quality Control, R&D, etc. to collaborate and execute projects
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and the ability to convert large volumes of data into actionable information
  • Using Reporting tools like BEX, Excel Pivot Tables, Infinity QS, Plantstar, SAP to mine meaningful data
  • Support inter-departmental projects and company-wide initiatives
  • Evalu­ate and report on project progress and results to assure that goals are met.
  • Prepare and present reports outlining the outcome of projects and make recommendations for further work. 
  • Coordinate with all affected parties, for prototyping and vendor activity.
  • Use computer aided design, analysis and drafting techniques.
  • Imple­ment conceptual designs and feasibility studies.
  • Design and develop product subsystems with emphasis toward designs that improves manufacturability, and reduces cost.
  • Support existing released products- evaluate and make drawing/product changes as necessary
  • Provide guidance to (and may supervise) the efforts of other team members on a project basis.
  • Keep detailed records of all work.
  • Troubleshoot data integrity issues

Ihr Profil

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum: BS/BA and 3+ years relevant experience
  • Preference: Masters or advanced degree
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Independent professional, requiring minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite - Excel, Word
