Production Manager

Manage the operation of Fabrication activities to ensure the efficient and timely production of products.  Responsibilities include management of headcount, overtime, hiring, training, budgeting, cost containment, and continuous improvement activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

·         Recruiting, training and retention of a qualified and motivated team

·         Productivity improvements

·         Quality improvements

·         Determine equipment and material resources required to meet production targets

·         Provide timely and accurate performance evaluations

·         Ensure production demands and customer needs are met

·         Purchase tools, supplies, or capital equipment necessary to perform tasks

·         Confirm individual assignments are completed for production schedule

·         Control work flow to achieve targets and minimize costs

·         Ensure shop health and safety procedures are strictly enforced

·         Ensure adherence to established quality standards

·         Regulate and enforce 5s program

·         Implement continuous improvement processes

·         Establish & monitor department budgets

·         Achieve OTD, lead time, warranty, failure analysis, and quality goals

·         Develop reports and metrics to monitor individual performance to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved. 

·         Effective communication with Master Scheduling, Engineering, Assembly, Quality, and Materials departments

·         Other duties and tasks as assigned

Ihr Profil

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:

·         Extensive manufacturing environment skills and experience in a lean manufacturing environment

·         Proficient blueprint and Microsoft office skills

·         Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance

·         Managerial experience in a fast paced environment

·         Ability to motivate employees and create an environment that promotes teamwork

·         Ability to communicate with personnel in a tactful manner

·         Ability to solve problems, make good decisions, and manage conflict

·         Familiar with mechanical and electrical assembly processes

·         Proven track record of process improvements

·         Manufacturing engineering background a plus

·         Understands material control functions, ERP systems, and capacity planning modules

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering.

·         Minimum 10 years managerial experience in a world class manufacturing environment
