The Relationship Marketing intern will assist the department with data quality improvement projects, with the goal of improving our customer intelligence and contact information for sales and marketing. The main focus of these projects will be our North American Key Accounts.
The intern may also support additional analytical and data quality initiatives as needed during their assignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with members of the North American Key Account Management team to identify and prioritize account sites for improvement activities
- Works with the Data Steward team and Database Marketing team to determine a plan for researching and correcting the data, and updating the database with these corrections
- Analyzes data sets for quality issues or trends that identify areas for improvement; is able to append and leverage business data (e.g., revenue, activities) in customer lists to create context for improvement activities
- Ensures data in the CRM system, or to be loaded to the CRM system, is formatted to meet Data Quality Guidelines and has a high degree of accuracy
- Uses phone, email, and web research where needed to qualify existing and prospective accounts and contacts, including confirming address, phone number, line of business, and contact name, email, and title information
- Reviews company reports in PDF format, understands the information provided, and determines the next steps for identifying key contacts at the company

- Has an analytical mindset and an aptitude for reviewing and analyzing large amounts of data
- Organizes daily activities in order to stay on target with assigned work and provides regular updates as requested to manager on the status of projects
- Immediately raises issues and roadblocks to manager in order to keep on track with project completion
- Possesses good phone skills, speaking clearly and effectively in a friendly, customer-oriented manner
- Has excellent written business communications
- Possesses a strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access a plus
- Must be pursuing a (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) BA/BS in a business discipline, marketing preferred
