Senior Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for providing key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly financial reporting, analysis and controls. Supports analysis of financial data and provides key support into the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Faciliate the monthly and annual closing to ensure accurate and timely close deliverables including financial reporting

  • Provide key support of management reporting and analysis including but not limited to accounts receivable, headcount, sales, margins, expenses, and balance sheet trends and assists explaining/documenting key fluctuations vs. prior year, budget, and forecast

  • Calculate inventory reserves as well as producing monthly inventory reporting and analysis

  • Maintain Fixed Assets and FA roll forwards including monthly closing tasks, ensuring proper processes are followed for capital acquisitions

  • Support review of sales contracts/PO's/terms & conditions to determine feasibility and compliance

  • Support revenue recognition compliance

  • Ensure transactional data reconciles to GL

  • Liaison between the Finance department and Production Organization, Shared Services, Operations, Service, and Order Entry

  • Coordinate with the Corporate and support Controller with analytics/reporting/requests including but not limited to Group Finance and Tax Compliance departments

  • Supports adherence to SOX controls and support the internal and external audits

  • Coordinate and ensure timely processing of Account Payable and Accruals

  • Review and initiate intercompany transactions/allocations

  • Support forecast development and monitoring

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned

Ihr Profil

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Hyperion, ERP System (SAP preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of SOX requirements

  • Strong knowledge of accounting compliance to GAAP especially in Manufacturing Industry

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent analytical ability

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization

  • Must be detail oriented and accurate with data and reporting

  • Builds trust, able to engage in a productive conflict, committed, self-accountable, and able to drive collectives results

  • Flexible, humble, self-motivated, diligent, demonstrates common sense about people, and able to prioritize

Minimum Education / Experience Required:

  • BS/BA in accounting

  • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting / financial analysis

  • SAP / BI experience preferred

  • Have or working towards CPA and/or MBA preferred
