2nd/3rd Line Software Support Engineer

Ihre Aufgaben

The Software Support Engineer is responsible for the operational support of custom-developed software applications and the supporting platform leveraged by 3000+ users distributed globally. Interacts directly with the end-users to provide real-time support and solutions for end-user issues. Identify, triage, propose, and implement solutions to resolve recurring issues within the application and platform.

Your responsibilities:
  • Communicate and collaborate with end-users in order to triage and resolve the end-user software issue by applying permanent or workaround solutions. 
  • Follow ITIL processes for incident and change management. 
  • Engage with the applications and platforms project teams for technical knowledge transfers on new application functionality. 
  • Identify the root cause of the recurring issue and determine the appropriate software or process solutions to permanently resolve the issue. 
  • Collaborate with other development team members to design the technical solution. 
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and implement changes to improve the overall stability of the solution and end-user experience.

Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business or Technology or equivalent. 
  • 2 years of working experience in a similar position. 
  • Knowledge of: 
    • MS SQL Server – database management and query,
    • Windows OS technical knowledge,
    • Powershell and batch scripting, 
    • Debugging and programming code analysis,
  • Understanding of software development processes.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills.
