Supply Chain Improvement Specialist

This position will lead the advancement of METTLER-Toledo's supply chain through the development of strategic initiatives that support the Global Supply Chain Strategy.  Working with colleagues in R&D, Sales, Service and Finance, you will develop processes and policies that are aligned across the organization, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness.  Your work with data analysis and reporting will help our internal customers proactively identify supply chain disruptions, before they are visible to our external customers.  You will use your SAP knowledge to advance the knowledge of end users, and assist in the development of processes that leverage the Mettler Toledo SAP Template.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities    
  • Proactively identify deficiencies in supply chain performance and engage key stakeholders in driving short-term and long-term solutions
  • Develop or identify, and implement best practices for material and supply planning processes in production or service
  • Drive measurable improvements in inventory levels, on-time delivery performance, and lead-times through improved planning improvements
  • Develop processes, systems, reporting and analytics to support improved supply chain visibility within the Business Units and at a Corporate Level
  • Assist adoption of standardized processes and implementation of SAP
  • Manage and maintain supply chain performance metrics
  • Support alignment of planning and business processes between business units
  • Improve back office operations and process to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement training, processes, and documentation
  • Enable the Supply Chain to timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of goods to internal and external customers

Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is a requirement.  
  • Experience in driving supply chain improvements in Planning, Manufacturing and Logistics is required
  • Through knowledge of SAP ECC (Material Master maintenance, Vendor Master, Bill of Material) is strongly preferred, with 2+ years of working experience. 
  • Strong Change Management, Communication and Analytical skills are required
