Technical Support Specialist - OHAUS Corporation

Ihre Aufgaben

As our Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for satisfying end user requests and inquiries by providing product and applications assistance to customers, dealers and/or distributors.  You will assist the end user in calibrating, performing preventive maintenance, and aiding them in repairing their equipment all over the phone.  You will identify the root causes of service issues the first time using your keen knowledge of the products. 

Your key duties and responsibilities will include: 
  • Work as part of a highly effective, technically competent service and applications support team.  
  • You will become knowledgeable about the OHAUS products, functionality, applications and customers
  • You will provide phone and email support by answering technical and application questions from customers, dealers and/or distributors with timely and courteous answers in a concerted effort to provide total customer satisfaction and resolve technical and/or product use related problems involving the use or application of Ohaus products.
  • You will track, document and address customer issues until resolved.  
  • Troubleshoot application issues by simulating them  in-house. 
  • You will be able to contribute to technical writing of product manuals, user guides, etc. and participate in product improvement teams.
  • Provide product and applications education and training (in person and virtual) to internal teams and global sales, service and applications support colleagues.

Ihr Profil

  • Associate’s degree preferred; Life Science background a plus
  • Minimum of two years of previous technical, customer service, or related experience.
  • Hands on technical experience preferred or an aptitude in the areas of Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Technology or Computer Science
  • Worked in field service or have related experience in similar environment; Calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair skills 
  • Self-motivated and self-starting individual who can work with minimum supervision.
  • Has an inquisitive nature and is willing to explore and investigate issues until they are resolved.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong presentation/training skills.
  • Tactful at handling customer issues, concerns and problems – ensuring customer satisfaction
  • SAP experience is a plus
