Welder - 2nd Shift (M - Th 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Capable of creating weldments from engineering drawings utilizing band saws, drill press, and TIG weld stainless steel. Weld sheet metal structures in various gauges.                

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble and weld frame weldments per drawings
  • Weld sheet metal structures and weld
  • Group together required parts prescribed in BOM
  • Verify dimensions of all components
  • Control raw material inventory and insure correct materials are allocated

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Fabrication of weldments from drawings maintaining flatness and squareness 
  • Operation of a TIG welder, setup, and maintenance 
  • Operate drill press, hand grinders/sanders, and band saw 
  • Layout of sheet metal for forming, bending, and welding
  • Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computers
  • Capable of performing all Welder 1 tasks when necessary
  • Proficient blueprint knowledge, with attention to dimensions and tolerances
  • Proficient in mathematical equations (standard and metric) 
  • Familiar with fabrication shop practices
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • TIG welding skills
  • High level of skill with grinding/sanding tools
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work in multiple positions
  • Sheet metal experience
  • Machine shop experience
  • AutoCAD experience

Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • High School or equivalent
  • Trade school or apprenticeship program
