Internal Sales Engineer

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Junior Internal Sales Engineer to join a leading global supplier of industrial equipment to the food and beverage market, based in Salford. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and with a desire to pursue a career in Sales within an international company.

You will ultimately provide full support to our international sales channels (MOs) and end users in the technical and commercial aspects of metal detection sales, as well as supporting the team of Market Managers including the Head of Sales in the management of geographical sales channels.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Respond to simple technical queries
  • Assess any potential issues or difficulties which could affect functionality or leadtime
  • Prepare non-standard quotes and specifications for the MOs and end users
  • Respond to queries from design engineers regarding customer requirements e.g., complex conveyor systems
  • Help maintain and update sales tools and job aids
  • Work with relevant departments to overcome any difficulties with making and delivering the product on time
  • Deal with all website enquiries either directly or via MOs

What You Need to Succeed

  • C grade or above in Maths and English GCSE level or equivalent
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Great enthusiasm with the ability to absorb new information quickly
  • Proven experience of problem solving in terms of technical and non-technical matters 
  • Can work independently and use your own initiative
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Desire to pursue a career in Sales
  • Experience of working in a commercially focused environment supporting a technical product
  • Experience of working with ERP systems e.g. SAP
  • Ability to interpret and process large amounts of complex information
