Business Development Specialist, Laboratory Instruments

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo's laboratory division is seeking to hire a Business Development Specialist on the West Coast who will report to the Area Business Manager. You will be responsible for the sale of thermal analysis and fusion point instruments and supplies to end users. Your responsibilities will also include: 
  • Growing the offering and publicity to promote our materials characterization equipment at trade shows and promoting the department within the thermal analysis community. 
  • Actively pursuing future business while maintaining and building relationships with existing customers. 
  • Comfortability with cold calling and lead generation as this role does not work from leads.
  • Implement strategic business plans to expand assigned territories. 
  • Develop and execute regional marketing initiative to improve local brand awareness and generate new viable business contacts and sales. 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree. 
  • Ability to travel overnight at about 50% of the time. 
  • Sales or business development background.
  • Must be a go-getter that is comfortable constantly going out and finding new business. 
  • You will not work off leads. 
  • Ideally live on the west coast or western side of the US.
