Credit & Collections Analyst

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As our Credit & Collections Analyst, you will support the credit and collections team for a defined range of customer accounts. Responsibilities include monitoring credit limits, resolving disputed invoices, releasing orders, and collection calls. This role requires strong multitasking and interpersonal communication skills, as well as basic data entry and data analysis abilities. Your responsibilities will also include: 
1) Collection Efforts: 
  • Contacting customers with past due balances to facilitate payment. 
  • Contact can be made via phone, letter, or email. 
  • Submitting invoices via online, web-based applications. 
2) Dispute Resolution: 
  • Researching and resolving disputed invoices. 
  • Working collaboratively with functional departments to resolve customer disputes, inquiries, and requests. 
3) Credit Review: 
  • Reviewing orders on hold to determine action needed to release, including requests to change customer credit limits. 
4) Cash Receipts: 
  • Reviewing incoming bash receipts to ensure appropriate cash application. 
  • Logging customer payments, including future promises to pay. 
5) Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or related field preferred but not required. 
  • Background in account management related to relationship building and managing large portfolios and business to business transactions. 
  • Knowledge of SAP or Oracle and SharePoint is a plus. 
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Transferable skills in accounts payable, non-sales account management, billing, or dispute resolution/analytics.
