Software Development Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in electronics/computer science or equivalent.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project planning and estimation.
  • Experience in monitoring, and control of project scope, quality, cost, and schedule. 
  • Sound knowledge risk management plans for projects or portfolios. 
  • Strong knowledge of project quality management practices and tools. 
  • Experience in C++, JAVA development and team management is must
  • Experience in Embedded Systems projects is a plus
  • Knowledge of one or more ALM tools. 
  • An expert problem solver who can manage difficult situations. 
  • Experience in working effectively in a matrix organization 
  • Experience to engage functional teams for requirement engineering, testing, quality, and DevOps
  • Ability to direct projects and people and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • A good communicator who translates the vision and mission of the organization to their team.
  • Ability to work well in an international context (United States, China, Germany, and Switzerland).

What You Need to Succeed

  • Prioritize work across projects and people.
  • Works closely with multiple stakeholders including platform teams, business leaders, product owners, development teams, and management.
  • Derive requirements and decisions to improve overall delivery strategy of supported products. 
  • Review feature requests with key stakeholders and ensure successful feature delivery with focus on built-in-quality.
  • Enable team learning and continuous improvement utilizing lean management and agile principles.
  • Measure project(s) performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Lead and mentor team through complex customer implementations, address production problems and develop productivity enabling tools.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to effectively meet the product and business goals.
  • Identify and implement best practices and solutions for overall improvement of project performance. 
  • Manage of risk, issues, and contingency including metrics-based management.
