Field Service Technician

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As an Industrial Field Service Technician, you will troubleshoot and repair industry related products, perform calibrations and preventative maintenance duties, resolve first line customer service issues and accurately complete service reports in the city of Vancouver and surrounding areas. You could also lead efforts to modernize, upgrade and convert customer existing equipment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair all Mettler Toledo products within the Business Group
  • Perform system and equipment installations, calibrations and preventative maintenance duties as required
  • Ensure customer uptime requirements are met and that PM work at assigned accounts are completed on time
  • Complete system configuration and testing prior to delivery
  • Provide technical solutions consultant and application support to the customer and the sales force
  • Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems
  • Insure vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 2 year college diploma in Engineering/Electronics/Instrumentation Technology and/or Computer Science
  • Experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting or technical installation in the industrial electronics technology marketplace
  • The ability to lift, transport and place test weights and equipment of up to 20 Kg (testing of equipment may require movement of up to 300Kg in 20 Kg increments).
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
