Field Sales Account Manager- Life Sciences (LATAM)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As our Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales and distribution of Ohaus products through our LATAM region, including Mexico, the Caribbean, Ecuador, and the southern cone of South America. You will maintain effective dealer relations, develop opportunities for growth within the assigned territory, and assure market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. Additional responsibilities will include: 
  • Meeting and exceeding sales quota by increasing sales to existing customers, securing new business, finding opportunities, following up on leads, and creating marketing initiatives. 
  • Traveling throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers. 
  • Training and working with our distributor partners to develop and close sales opportunities. 
  • Providing product demonstrations and emphasizing unique selling points. 
  • Promoting the breadth of Ohaus product offerings on all sales calls to achieve maximum client solution opportunities. 
  • Quoting prices and preparing sales contracts for orders obtained. 
  • Entering new and updated customer data and other sales data into SAP.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science related field. 
  • Minimum of 4+ years sales experience within the lab, industrial, scientific, or education markets. 
  • Ability to travel around 80%, including 60% local travel and 20% overnight travel. 
  • Must be located next Mexico City to allow time in the office while not traveling. 
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
