Product Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo Rainin is currently looking for a Product Manager. The goal for the Product Manager will be to support developing and enhancing of their product portfolio including training, reporting, tool development, and being the Rainin product champion. This portfolio is intended for maximizing market share of the main revenue drivers for Rainin and sets a strategic pathway forward for future growth in revenue and market share.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Collaborating with the core business team and service team and will be the champion for continuously enhancing the customer facing package for global distribution.The Manager is to become the technical expert and program champion.
  • The Product Manager is responsible for the quality of delivery of user seminars globally, this includes ensuring seminar leaders are adequately trained, seminars are well received by customers, and content is based on scientific insights that tangibly optimize manual liquid handling processes in life science laboratories.
  • The Product Manager will constantly collect internal, customer, and strategic partner feedback and use it to drive continuous improvements. This is intended to maintain high quality delivery of valued content not only for all sales organizations globally but also for the program itself.
  • Liaise and align with the Mettler Toledo programs and leverage internal expertise from Mettler Toledo and Rainin in areas of metrology and precision measurement technologies.
  • Maintain KPI's for the product to assess necessary tactics to sustain growth.
  • Assist Tech support, sales teams and market organization around the world on all topics associated with the product portfolio, liaise with other Product Managers as well as the Service team to ensure a full 360+ package is available to drive the Rainin products globally.

What You Need to Succeed

  • BS in the Sciences, preferably in life sciences area, MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years product management, product marketing, strategy, sales enablement, training, or similar experience
  • Lab bench experience and understanding of workflow in life science applications
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team
  • Product development cycle/phases
  • Effective communication skills, especially presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Knowledge of Metrology and processes associated with metrology preferred
  • Knowledge of Statistics and statistical modeling preferred
  • Primary and secondary market research preferred
  • Training field sales and customers preferred
