HR Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities would include:
Mettler Toledo Rainin is looking for an HR Specialist to support and partner with the Head of Human Resources and the Human Resources Team to provide key administrative support associated with the governance and optimization of HR systems and administrative processes. This role also contributes to HR projects and key initiatives for the company.

Responsibilities would include:
  • Overseeing the HR Department back office operations and systems including SAP/HCM administration and other reporting functions.
  • Managing the local benefits enrollment process for Rainin including both the annual open enrollment process and new employee enrollments.
  • Managing Rainin's leave of absence program including all communications with employees, supervisors, and the Company's leave administrator, Unum.
  • In conjunction with the HR Assistant, manage the Company onboarding program, including first day orientation and other ongoing onboarding activities.
  • Planning and facilitating seasonal employee events such as the Company summer appreciation activities and the winter holiday party. 
  • Acting as the lead contact for employee event vendor relationships including monitoring quality of service for various employee events and other activities. 
  • Providing monthly HR statistics and headcount reports to the HR team and the Finance department as well as other ad hoc HR reports as needed.
  • Remaining current on employment laws and other regulations and identifies legal requirements and/or government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions; Ensures Company policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Providing timely, accurate, accepted, understood advice in the areas of employee benefits, HR operations, HR systems and legal compliance.
  • Adhering to all of Rainin's established safety protocols.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a closely related field. 
  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resource positions.  
  • Familiarity with California Labor Laws a must. 
  • Bilingual language skills a plus. 
  • HR certification also a plus.
