The Data Business Analyst acts as a process expert and is responsible for the design and effective implementation of Data Governance management and data administration processes for our Service and Human Resources data. The role is responsible for coordination of numerous data lifecycle and data quality management processes, data governance foundation and select data migration processes with Service and Human Resources master data focus. The Data Business Analyst is responsible for design, implementation, training, documentation, and communication of these processes within the Data Governance team. This position has a direct impact on the overall ability to achieve high quality master data within METTLER TOLEDO. Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Establishes and owns data lifecycle and data quality management processes; understands and applies business requirements and change requests within these processes 
  • Defines rules, standards and guidelines for Service and HR data objects 
  • Identifies and drives data quality initiatives as a result of a specific business process issue or Ad-hoc data analysis 
  • Analyzes data related requirements or change requests for projects, roll-ins, and business units; supports the modification of the data migration processes as necessary 
  • Supports the data quality monitoring processes, metrics, and key performance indicators for specific data objects 
  • Facilitates training and provides training materials for data lifecycle and data quality management processes and solutions 
  • Provides 3rd Level process and data object support during all project or roll-in phases and post implementation change requests or incidents 
  • Works closely with and collaborates with Data Governance and Digital Business Services colleagues to maintain alignment during all projects, roll-ins and related tasks 
  • Ensures a “knowledge-sharing” culture by effective communication, training, and documentation 
  • Maintains effective relationships with internal team members, business and project process teams, and IT application teams 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field, preferred 
  • 1 to 2 years' SAP experience and good knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP CRM, preferred 
  • Knowledge and ablity to work with Advance Analytics tools (e.g. Knime) 
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in Data Governance or related field preferred 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; required in functional teams and with business partners 
  • Structured, detailed working methodology; continuous improvement approach and process oriented 
  • Language skills: Excellent English (written and oral), German, French, and/or other language beneficial, but not required 
  • Self-driven, motivated individual who can efficiently influence delivery in matrix organization 
  • Experience working and collaborating in a global dynamic organization 
  • Enjoy a global and fast moving environment; ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
