Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo is hiring a Field Sales Representative for our Laboratory Division in the Ann Arbor, MI area. You will focus growing the territory in the Laboratory market directly and motivate dealers to to sell Mettler Toledo products within your territory. You'll focus on selling our micro, analytical and precision balances as well as moisture analyzers, pH meters and service. Other responsibilities include:

Achieving your annual sales target and growing sales in your assigned territory: Michigan and parts of Indiana and Ohio
Coordinating selling time for face to face visits, demos and calls with customers.
Conduct trade shows, cart shows and seminars at customer sites
Train and develop dealer personnel involved in selling of Mettler Toledo products on applications, specifications and overall knowledge so they can promote our products on their own.
Covering a multi-state territory with about 25% overnight travel.

What You Need to Succeed

A Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences, plus 2 or more years of sales experience in scientific instruments or equipment preferred.
Experience training and developing the skills of others
Established yourself as a trusted leader with vision in a related field by analyzing customer problems, mastering product knowledge, and differentiating from the competition
The discipline to maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system daily and complete necessary weekly reports
Excellent relationship-building skills to create trust with customers and synergy with dealers
Experience using SAP's CRM system would be a plus
