Product Support Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities


(This position will located in Oakland, CA. or Newton, MA)


The Hours for this role will be: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM  PST


The ideal candidate will use their experience to complete the following tasks:  


• Provides first and second-level technical support for Rainin products. 

• Responds to external and internal customer email requests for product selection, product use advice, and technical assistance.

• Researches and resolve technically challenging or complicated issues impacting external and internal customers. Requires working with various departments throughout the corporate organization, including customer service, sales, product   management, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, etc.

• Executes administrative tasks to support department operations and initiatives. This includes light data analysis, compiling and writing reports, logging data into management systems, updating records, and document filing.

• Attends various meetings, including quality review and new product development meetings, to represent the technical support team and provide feedback and analysis derived from customer interactions.

• May provide training to new employees and sales reps.

• May provide input to or is directly involved in developing support documentation. This includes developing technical bulletins, product manuals, and service procedures.

What You Need to Succeed



Applicants should have the following minimum requirements: 


• Associate Degree in life science.

• Minimum a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); with two (2) years of experience in life science as a Customer Service Call Center, Product Service Center, Training Center agent, or an equivalent combination of     education and experience. Previous knowledge or work experience in a life science lab working with manual liquid handling devices is preferred.

• Previous knowledge or work experience in a life science lab environment with manual liquid handling devices is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication as well as presentation skills.

• An individual must have knowledge of MS TEAM, MS Office Suite, MS Excel, MSWord, MS Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  Experience with ERP systems (example SAP) and Databases is helpful.

• A plus is having knowledge of and/or work experience with pipette products and polypropylene pipette tips.

• Preferred work hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00  PM.  PST
