- Write scripts and software for automating tests, programming, updates, unit tracking, and calibration. Create new test SW modules based on calibration and test methodologies defined by development team.
- Design and develop test programs and software tools that integrate with electromechanical test fixtures and systems.
- Work within the manufacturing engineering team to design and build test stations, improve existing test systems for efficiency and reliability, and manage data visualization/reporting.
- Participate and contribute as part of a cross-functional manufacturing and product development teams for bringing a product from concept into production.
- Maintain and optimize existing test programs to reduce test times, increase reliability and reporting metrics.
- Participate in manufacturing team to deploy repeatable tests, and to help debug hardware and software issues on the production floor.
- Write excellent code documentation and keeping our codebase and hardware design repositories organized and manageable
- Delivers effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverable on time, and adhering to development and quality standards.
- Understands and implements measurement systems with traceability to NIST and other national standards to assure that analytical product specifications are met.
- Write and maintain test procedures for new and existing products/processes. Write and update test procedures for existing operations as needed.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Operations
- Software/Electrical Engineer background with minimum of 2-5 year of work relevant experience.
- Programming experience with NI LabVIEW and TestStand required.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as C++, C#, Python etc. preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly pick-up other test frameworks and development languages.
- Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office tools, MS Access and SQL databases.
- Knowledge of embedded programming and microcontrollers.
