Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support our Mettler Toledo Masstron Manufacturing Plant. As our Human Resources Specialist, you will work closely with our Head of HR and other Corporate HR members to collaborate, develop and implement select HR programs/policies. Our Manufacturing Plant needs a strong contributor to serve as a Human Resource Representative in providing quality Human Resources support to maximize business performance. This position requires excellent judgment, sound decision-making, and attention to detail. In addition to the duties above, you will maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.

Your responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as an in-office point person for plant employees and leaders within aforementioned areas and recognizes complex issues that should be escalated.
  • Conducts onboarding activities for new and temporary employees.
  • Ensures effective and timely administration of the Company’s SAP/HCM system, Kronos time tracking, ADP payroll submissions, annual bonus submission process, HR vendor invoice processing and quarterly/monthly reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Head of HR on special projects. Where applicable, participate in special project teams in support of improving HR policies, programs, and/or initiatives.
  • Support the compliance team regarding routine external customer requests requiring Affirmative Action (AA) / Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) affirmation, drug screens, background checks and compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Manage immigration matters for existing and new employees in conjunction with Outside Counsel.
  • Conducts exit interviews for departing employees; provides summary and analysis of trending termination data.
  • Responsible for the HR SharePoint Site and associated maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts for employees as needed .

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or applicable discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience. Experience in Manufacturing with a major international corporation required.
  • Excellent people skills and aptitude to facilitate involvement of others in solving complex issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven effectiveness in small and large team environments.
  • Ability to lead initiatives, manage projects, and work as part of a project team.
  • Prior experience in a professional or office administrator role.
  • Sound analytical abilities and business sense.
  • Demonstrate high energy level and the drive required to proactively manage activities within a dynamic business environment.
  • Hands-on style and willingness to perform a range of detailed work.
  • The motivation, adaptability, and professional qualities to work well with individuals in multiple disciplines and across global organizations.
As a Plus, Do You Also Have?
  • HRM-CP and/or PHR certifications.
