Product Marketing Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As the leader of the Marketing Organization (MO) product management team, you will successfully manage and drive all product line activities in alignment with the MO business plan & strategy.  The Product Marketing Manager develops the product management and the product technical support teams into a cohesive “one team” customer focused, solutions-orientated support organization.  

From a local sales and marketing organization perspective, you own the MO management & execution of the “product life cycle” (PLC) from the time a product is locally launched, thru product obsolescence, and end of service life support.  Develop and implement training strategies ensuring sales channel competencies and effective sales acumen.  Support local eStudio utilization through Webinar execution, eDemo sales-cycle support, and other digital engagement opportunities for both the customers and sales channel.  Manage trade show programs as a cost-effective lead generation and promotional platform.  

As an individual contributor & by leading direct-report activities, execute all product management responsibilities including:
  • Active member of the MO Leadership Team focused on development of the annual MO plan & strategy.
  • Product Launches:  Develop and execute launch plans to:
    • Train the sales and support channels on target applications and how to effectively position the product.
    • Leverage collaterals available within the Sales Enablement Tool (SET).
    • Establish local pricing tactics aligned with global guidance.
    • Setup new products within internal systems and processes.
    • Establish & coordinate sales product demo plan.
    • Create local sales tools, marketing bulletins, and promotional collaterals.  Integrate into SET where appropriate.
    • Proactively track and drive market penetration; adjust plans & positioning tactics as may be required.
  • Product Portfolio Maintenance: Annual product price management, product obsolescence, and update product literature.
  • Leadership: Manage & develop the product management and product support teams to achieve maximum performance potential.  
    • Product support teams are customer-focus with a clear understanding of how our products and services meet customer and industry requirements.  
    • Product management teams have a have clear parameter ownership driving sales and market penetration activities.
    • Successful product managers proactively participate in high-level customer visits to understand core market requirements, increase application expertise, and develop keen sense of competitor activities.
  • Product marketing: Plan & execute tradeshows and conferences in alignment with the annual MO plan supporting growth initiatives, brand building and successful penetration of new segments.  Launch and maintain segment initiatives blending live training, eLearnings, and effective SET utilization practices. 

What You Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of customer facing Sales or Product Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sciences or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Semiconductor industries strongly preferred.
