Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated individual to join our global team at Mettler-Toledo Safeline as Head of Market Management. You will be based in Salford, where your main responsibility will be leading the Metal Detection Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and Production Organisation (PO) product sales growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Ownership of the development, alignment and execution of the growth strategy for both the SBU and the PO
Drive sustainable profitable product sales growth in the global SBU and PO in Manchester
Drive strategic business development through the market channels (MO)
Work closely with the leadership colleagues in the wider organisation to secure an end to end focus on customer needs and satisfaction
Take product lifecycle ownership of our product portfolio
Oversee MO Sales Support response delivery from the Internal Sales Helpdesk team
Lead the structural networking of how we can become a more global organisation with a particular emphasis on Sales in USA, China and European markets
Lead continuous improvements of processes, products, organisation and tools to excite our customers and drive growth and profitability
Manage a team of circa 8 individuals based in Manchester
Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

What You Need to Succeed

Strong experience in a dynamic, technology-driven business that provides solutions to the packaging/processing/FMCG/pharma type industries - preferably from a matrix organisation
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly fabrication, welding, casting, vacuum forming etc.
Good general understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Strong all-round leadership, project management, time management, problem solving & communication skills
Technical experience and proven management experience in a fast paced design environment
Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines and motivate others to do the same
Experience working in an international environment
Willing to travel overseas as required
Wide ranging knowledge of products/systems used in the packaging and processing industry is desirable
Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Business Administration or other business-relevant discipline is desirable.
