Senior Financial Analyst

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo's Corporate Function is currently hiring a Senior Financial Analyst in Columbus, Ohio to support our Head of Finance and Controller for the US Industrial and Retail divisions in the areas of financial analysis, financial processes, forecasting, reporting and budget. 

Your responsibilities would include: 

  • Monitor performance indicators including order entry, revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and operating profit, highlight trends and analyze causes of unexpected variances, recommend course change to senior management
  • Participate in budget cycle, development of business area and departmental budgets
  • Obtain knowledge of our general ledger and reporting systems (SAP, Hyperion and BI) utilized in preparing financial reports and analysis including a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Participate in month end closing process and monthly Hyperion Financial Management submission 
  • Complete other ad hoc projects as identified by the Head of Finance and/or Controller

What You Need to Succeed

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and at least two years of related job experience in a broad financial or accounting role.
  • Excellent Excel skills, strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • A strong global perspective, analytical mind set, and a desire to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • As a plus, do you also have? Hyperion and/or SAP reporting experience
  • GAAP accounting skills
