Data Center Operations Team Lead

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Work and align closely with Global Datacenter Manager and Operations Team Leads of other regions and solution areas
    • Plan and coordinate monthly maintenance windows
    • Ensure new processes are implemented consistently across our teams
    • Manage and coordinate escalations on critical events

  • Act as technical lead in implementation projects within the solution area and ensure a smooth transition to operations
    • Explore new technologies and assess its potential, initiate, and guard changes
    • Assess impact of complex changes
    • Experience in implementing, managing, and supporting technologies from VMWare, Microsoft, RedHat or Dell Technologies

  • Manage and support service management in datacenter area
    • Handle internal customer interactions and reporting
    • Maintain strong relationships with internal customers
    • Ensure team follows best practices and meets service level agreements

  • Act as local team lead and as such take over
    • HR related administrative activities
    • Plan on-call duties, resource allocation and
    • Plan and support Team development
    • Defining yearly goals and supporting, monitoring achievements

What You Need to Succeed

  • Very good communication skills in English;
  • Strong skills in process definition and documentation;
  • Solid experience in supporting Data Center Operations;
  • Experience in leading technical teams; 
  • Understanding of ITIL and associated Principles;
  • Ability to build and lead team to effectively operate global infrastructure;
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud, VMWare SDDC solutions, Windows Server and Linux system administration is a big asset.
