The Project Manager's (PM) primary role is to manage designated key account projects utilizing Project Management Professional (PMP) principles. Responsibilities will include coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded. The PM will work directly with customers to ensure customers’ needs/wants are captured and, associated deliverables are effectively completed. The PM will coordinate efforts and lead other cross-functional department team members during project execution. He/She will also provide technical subject matter expertise to other departments while assisting with related operational activities such as, but not limited to, competitive analysis, FAT support & sales/service customer visits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage key account projects through all process stages: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing.
  • Apply project management best practices to ensure key projects are completed on time, within budget, and within scope, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Generate, update and manage project management organizational assets such as project management presentations, project trackers, charters, communication maps, risk management matrices, etc.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to all departments within PIUS, our Agents, and Customers. Share and expound technology knowledge within the overall TEAM.
  • As necessary travel to customer facilities with Regional Managers, Engineers, or Agents to perform site surveys, deliver technical sales presentations, and ensure customer expectations are being met.
  • Actively participate in Technical Review meetings to ensure that the solutions on the Technical Specifications document are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
  • Update, track and maintain Key Account Technical Specifications, Price Lists, URS, and other pertinent documentation. Review and summarize bid packages and provide guidance to Sales Engineering to ensure quotes thoroughly capture customer requirements.
  • Work with customers and SBUs to develop/implement system features and functionality as requested by respective Key Accounts, ex. EIP and AB control.
  • Assist in developing and providing standard training programs and application tools to assist cross-functional team members.
  • Attend design review, quality, service, and production meetings as necessary.
  • Participate in customer-driven XR Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) protocols along with internal FATs (as needed) ensuring machines are built and function to customer and PIUS expectations.
  • Notify and explain machine deficiencies discovered in the FAT process to Quality management. Keep designer engineers informed of any changes made during FAT so changes are captured and administered on future units, where applicable.
  • Assist with customer demos.
  • Assistance in the Test Lab with specialized product testing, as needed.
  • Know, follow and help create SOPs.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; sustaining job-related certifications, reviewing professional publications, and establishing business networks.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by the Business Manager.

  • Must be extremely organized, efficient, detail-oriented, innovative, and effective problem-solver 
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and presentation skills (written and verbal), as well as excellent interpersonal skills to foster interaction within all levels of the organization, clients, and subcontractors 
  • Experience with computerized office systems and software (i.e., Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Visio)
  • Must be able to meet difficult deadlines.
  • Support and conform to 5S objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Be able to interpret different learning style requirements and adapt training to the various styles as required.

Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • 5 years or more experience with Project Management. 
  • BS or equivalent technical experience in Project Management or Engineering.

Travel Requirements: 
  • This position has a travel requirement of 25 - 30%. Travel could include both domestic and international travel.
