Job Overview
  • The Master Data Specialist is responsible for all data management activities within EU Region. Acts as a data quality gate keeper, interacts with and trains local data stewards, drives change in the region to deepen and widen use of data, standard processes and helps to improve data quality and consistency. Master Data Specialist will also take part in project as data migration support during roll-in; data retrofits to sustain data quality level. Within this job person will take ownership for the whole process of data validation for particular object or set of objects.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Operational tasks and responsibilities:
  • Supporting day-to-day master data management processes within the EU region
  • Performing quality checks (e.g. deduplication, compliance to the processes) to ensure quality of master data
  • Fulfilling Service Level Agreements through timely execution of data requests
  • Monitoring and reporting master data metrics (e.g. ticket resolution success rate, ticket prioritization, etc.)\
  • Providing necessary training to local data stewards and power users
  • Supporting local data stewards and business in any data related issue or request
  • Participate/Lead regular meetings with Data Stewards
  • Act as 1st line of support for EU BUs in case of any data related issues

Project tasks and responsibilities:
  • Coordination activities with key users, BTEs ; IT and data stewards
  • Reporting to Project Leads and accountable fully for particular data objects
  • Supports tools development and is Single Point Of Contact for DS/KU during Data maintenance phases and HyperCare period
  • Working with tools such as KNIME, VBA, UiPath in order to analyse data and improve the processes within the team and the company

What You Need to Succeed

  • At least 1 year working experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP CRM
  • Customer or Vendor Master Data experience preferred, but open to Material as well
  • Some analytical skills needed. Sometimes reporting, bigger data extracts etc.
  • Good understanding of material data management processes and its phases
  • Understand and respect different cultures
  • Language skills: Proficient in English
  • MS Excel – medium proficiency. Examples: vlookup, simple pivot tables, index/match Any kind of reporting skills would be a plus
  • Any kind of knowledge with automating and analytical tools, e.g. KNIME, VBA, UiPath, would be a plus
  • MDG – nice to have

Outcome: Material Data Quality level at or above 90%; KPI for execution of Service Request at or above 95%
