Our Opening and Your Responsibilities:

Mettler-Toledo has an opening for a Accounting Analyst position focusing on supporting in general accounting duties like material costing, list pricing, report preparation,  and basic journal entries during month-end close procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Maintaining general ledger integrity and ensuring financial compliance with the Controller’s manual and to all applicable laws and regulations.

·         Preparing month-end journal entries and account reconciliations, demonstrating strong commitment to timely and accurate resolution on any outstanding items.

·         Prioritizing strong adherence to GAAP and SOX controls

·         Communicating successfully with internal and external customers, including auditors

·         Addressing business obstacles and proactively suggesting solutions with minimal need for additional resources.

·         Supporting material and sales order costing through MIRP/MDG process, including price maintenance

·         Maintaining the Concur (Credit Card) process

·         Other duties or task as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·  Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.

·  A strong understanding of internal controls, SOX, U.S. GAAP, basic accounting theories and concepts.

·  Strong computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Hyperion, Large company ERP (SAP preferred)

·  Excellent organizational skills and analytical ability

·  Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization

     Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Minimum Education / Experience Required:

·         Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or Mathematics or equivalent work experience

·         Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role

·         SAP Experience Preferred
