Technical application specialist & Customer Support

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Due to the expansion and growth of our MT-Sales International team, we are looking for new team player, an experienced Technical Support Specialist with strong technical knowledge in retail hardware and software for our products and solution for retailers (retail weighing scales). 

Based in Barcelona his/her main responsibility will be supporting our partners in the MT-Sales International region (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America) providing them with technical support and training, collaborating with them in any technical and software integration issues mainly via email and by phone and a limited number of business trips a year. 


Main Responsibility 

As Technical support specialist, you will work closely with the line manager who promotes and sells our retail portfolio of weighing scale in the market areas assigned. You will help and support our local distributors in the MT-SI region to analyze applications, propose solutions, help to sell products and services and train our partner’s technical employees on hardware and software issues. 


Key Tasks

  • Being the point of support for our partners, managing technical problems that arise from implementation of our portfolio of retail scales. Supporting them on hardware and software issues.
  • Organizing and conducting project kick-off workshops and trainings with our partners and their services technicians’ team.
  • Participating in Pilot installations that include on-site trainings to our distributors.
  • Being the point of contact to solve via remote, email, phone, products’ technical issues.
  • Supporting and training our distributors on the use and configuration of our software applications.
  • Supporting our distributors in the integration of our software applications with the key accounts ERPs.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Promoting and mantling the liaison with our manufacturers and engineers to solve and clarify hardware issues

What You Need to Succeed

  • Professional or Vocational Education, or Bachelor degree in either electronic or mechanical field and/or computer science or similar qualification.
  • Experience in maintenance support and pre-sales service.
  • Familiar with Windows and Linux, able to install and uninstall software on both operating systems and manage the directory of software installed.
  • Familiar with at least one relational database and proficient in SQL.
  • Experience in dealing with network problems is preferred.
  • Strong ability to analyze technical issues and to convey technical information.
  • Excellent analytic skills and customer oriented.
  • Good English and Spanish communication skills. The communication with our partners mainly is in English and Spanish. 
  • Strong Italian´s knowledge is highly desirable. 
  • Availability to travel around the region assigned twice or three times per year.
