Field Sales Representative, West Coast – MicroElectronics

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Can you see yourself selling for a worldwide leader in process analytical measurement systems in the microelectronics/semiconductor market? Our core competence is high quality in-line measurement of these parameters in demanding chemical process and UPW applications. 

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) you will establish yourself as a trusted advisor within the Microelectronics market segment (Fabs, Foundries and Tool Manufacturers). You will analyze customer pain points, master product & application knowledge, and differentiate MT-PRO from the competition. 

This position is remote and covers the West coast region of California, Oregon, and Washington. You can expect up to 50% overnight travel. 

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Explaining highly technical information to customers, focusing on revealing how a product, application and our solutions can solve specific problems. 
  • Building long-term relationships with customers and colleagues and maintaining the highest level of integrity. 
  • Developing and executing a strategic territory plan to include the methodology needed to achieve sales growth including all sales and related activities:
    • Lead generation 
    • Cold calling 
    • Product demonstrations 
    • Organizing and presenting technical seminars 
    • Application feasibility tests 
    • Performing demonstrations for products 
    • Coordinating customer support. 
  • Providing feedback on market trends, competitive activity/reconnaissance, and other information that may be of value for corporate goal attainment.

What You Need to Succeed

This territory covers the states of California, Oregon, and Washington. The ideal candidate location is in the Portland, OR, area, but must be within the territory. 

Professional Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience with liquid analytical instrumentation and/or water purification equipment. 
  • 3+ years of direct sales experience. 
  • Thorough knowledge of microelectronics applications.

  • Skill in developing and maintaining relationships with key customers. 
  • Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability.

  • Self-motivated with ability to set targets and achieve objectives with minimum supervision. 
  • Demonstrated ability to nurture customer relationships and understand customer needs. 
  • Proficient in presentation execution, written and verbal communication skills.
