Machinist- Fabricator

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a 2nd shift Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our production team. If you are looking to join a great team, this role could be for you. Your responsibilities will include:

Hours: 3:15pm-1:45am
  • Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions
  • CNC Mill experience required
  • Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders
  • Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives
  • Operate fork trucks and cranes
  • Identify and implement safety improvements

What You Need to Succeed

  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation
  • Working to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.)
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Safely operate Jib and overhead cranes
  • Demonstrated  good attendance and punctuality record
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on details
