Core Technology Manager (SAP Technology)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

In that role you will be responsible for Application Infrastructure and Integration. This position in addition acts as a guiding partner for defining best practices in SAP Security, Business Integration, SAP Integration and BASIS, SAP ABAP and Mobile Development along with Data Volume Management. This position owns and manages Technology as a Value Stream for business. 

Your responsibilities: 
  • Align and implement METTLER TOLEDOs Technology Roadmap and Strategy.
  • Work in close cooperation with Enterprise Architecture, Business Applications, Information Security & Compliance to define and maintain application standards and strategy.
  • Manage external vendors and service providers and their contracts, define service levels, service scope and monitor.
  • Definition, adherence, review and if needed adjustments to Core Technology Strategy inline with BT, DBS and MT Vision and Strategies.
  • Assurance of effective and efficient operations inline with defined processes and achieving KPI targets.
  • Effective and cost efficient management of costs and investments for Core Technology services and platforms.
  • Building of necessary business cases and CAB (change approval board) submissions for required projects and investments for Continues Improvements and fulfilment of remaining Core Technology business objectives.

What You Need to Succeed

  • At least Bachelor’s degree or relevant education background.
  • 15 years of professional experience in SAP Technology including 5 years of experience in managing multinational organizations and technology teams. 
  • Very good knowledge of: SAP BASIS, SAP PO/CPI, SAP ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAP Archiving, SAP HANA etc.
  • Very good knowledge and use of business English.
  • Strong technical skills and analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through effective leadership.
  • Previous experience and understanding of working in a matrixed organization across borders, cultures, and time-zones.
  • That role may require global traveling up to 10%.
