Business Analyst

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The ER&A Business Analyst will contribute to the support of ER&A (Enterprise Reporting & Analytics) end users within MT Europe and North America. 

As the ER&A Business Analyst, you will use your reporting knowledge, skills and prior experiences to design, implement and audit reporting processes, documents and templates. Additionally, this role will contribute to the design and creation of new reports and contribute to the front end user interface that delivers business analytics to MT business users to enable them to make timely and effective decisions resulting in profitable revenue growth. This role reports to the ER&A Regional Lead for North America.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the business users, analyze business requirements, perform fit gap analysis, conduct or assist users in user acceptance testing, and deliver required functional documentation per Global ER&A governance standards,
  • Apply principles, concepts and techniques in developing reporting solutions to support the KPI’s, business drivers and reporting needs through the following tools: Custom Analysis for Office workbooks, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), KNIME (data transformation),
  • Support end users to instruct them how to use reports with a major focus on end user documentation and training,
  • Work and interact with other functional team members, other ER&A regional teams and the Global ER&A team to troubleshoot report issues and provide end users with insights into their business through data analysis and presentation,
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and user training when applicable,
  • Perform Incident analysis, solutioning and resolution to meet a defined service level agreement with users.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills in English (min. C1),
  • Minimum 2-3 years of reporting experience in one of the BI data visualization and analytical tools like Tableau, PowerBI or SAP Analytics Cloud,
  • Strong functional skills with experience in conducting working sessions with business users, preparing functional requirement documents, test scripts, testing and training documents,
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical skills to thoroughly research and analyze a problem, determine solutions or approaches to solve the issue and implementation of those ideas,
  • Experience conducting training sessions both one-on-one and in large group settings, 
  • Experience working and interacting with global business users in a decentralized, multi-national environment,
  • Development experience in SAC or KNIME is a plus.
