Automated Precision Weighing is an important part of our business with machine and instrument manufacturers. These extremely precise sensors and scales play an important part of the automation infrastructure in life sciences, semiconductor production and precision filling systems. This business is part of the fast growing OEM business within the Industrial Division of METTLER TOLEDO. To strengthen our team in Nänikon, we are looking for Technical Portfolio Specialist 100% (f/m/d). 

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • You are responsible for the coordination of new product development initiatives working closely with our development, production, logistics and international sales organizations where you act as a key team member
  • You act as a technical specialist for a high-tech product portfolio focused on devices that are tightly integrated within production machines that improves their productivity, quality while improving their profitability. Here you will work closely with development teams in Switzerland, China and Germany
  • You ensure that project objectives and requirements are achieved such as prioritization schedule, technical specifications, costs - all while working with the teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • You work closely with our technical support organizations in America, Germany, Malaysia and China on strategies to improve customer satisfaction, easy integration and best practices where you have the opportunity to articulate your ideas to the development teams to push continuous improvement
  • You are the go to person on critical quality cases when they are escalated from service to support and higher where you work with engineering and production to find and solve the root cause
  • You work independently within a friendly and focused team who operate globally and who share common goals of innovation and continuous improvement

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:
  • You are a problem solver and enjoy working in an international team.
  • You have a Bachelor, or Master’s degree in engineering and a flair for business and finance
  • You have several years of experience working in a technical function and are comfortable working within an international matrix organization
  • You have experience in project management and simultaneous manage multiple projects together with our product managers and developers
  • You are interested in the technical side of machinery and automation and are willing to experience the real world aspects of our business
  • You enjoy working with many different cultures, sharing ideas and are open to helping drive innovation
  • You are a team player with a high level of initiative and excellent communication skills, quick perception, high quality awareness and assertiveness
  • Very good knowledge of German, especially English both spoken and written. Other foreign languages are an advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, experience with SAP is also an advantage
