Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This new role will work with management to support production, engaged in various support operations for the molding and rack assembly areas.  With focus in Tip Consumables, that includes the primary functions such as tip inspection, product assembly, final inspection and final packaging of all of the Company’s tip products.  The position will also work on special projects to support and advance production.

Continually promotes the company’s philosophy of safety first while providing excellent service to internal customers and maintaining a high level of employee efficiency through the introduction and support of effective work standards.  Encourages the positive development of employee/department attitude and morale through leadership example and assisting with the achievement of job-related goals and objectives. 

What You Need to Succeed

Applicants should have the following minimum requirements:

  1. Consumables Mfg.
  2. Develops and implements manufacturing activities in support of the Consumables Mfg. department’s overall goals, objectives and schedules. 
  3. Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
  4. Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other manufacturing requirements.
  5. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  6. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  7. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  8. Serves as a technical and training resource for the Consumables Mfg. team.
  9. Troubleshoots and resolves operating/process issues through continuous improvement.
  10. Establishes and maintains standards for safety, productivity and area cleanliness (5S & Kaizen).

  2. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  3. Maintains time and production records.
  4. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  5. Compiles and reviews consumables manufacturing reports for accuracy as well as shift reports and updates                .
  6. Assigns resources to meet the consumables manufacturing schedule on a day-to-day basis.


  • Associate's degree (A.A.) and three to five years of related Supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before employees of the Company. 
  • Bi-lingual skills are preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software, SAP-ERP; MS Office (Outlook; Excel-SS;  PPT and Word ).
