Team Lead Data Governance Operations

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Data Governance Operations Team Lead acts as a Team Leader and a Master Data Specialist and is accountable for Data Governance management and data administration processes in Customer, Contact Person, Material, Vendor and Services data objects. 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Take direct leadership of EU and US Regional DG Operations team including take charge of topics and take executive decisions in support of all tasks and performance objectives of team members. 
  • Ensure compliance with established DG Operational SLA within regional team area. Facilitate training and provides training materials for data lifecycle and data quality management processes. 
  • Provides 3rd Level data object support during live business execution, projects or roll-in phases and post implementation hypercare phase.
  • Engage and interface with all team members to meet their expectations and management expectations, including proper guidance, training, and support. 
  • Ensure a “knowledge-sharing” culture by effective communication, training, and documentation. 
  • Ensure all timelines and expectations of key stakeholders are met for projects and deliverables which team members support. 
  • Support the DG Operations Manager with proposing, creating, communicating and enforcing data governance policies, processes, and procedures for the organization. Understand and promote the standardization approach across DG Operation team. 
  • Execute/Validate data lifecycle and data quality management processes, understand business requirements and support implementation of these processes and tools. Leads regional business communications and moderate monthly data quality meetings with business units representatives. 
  • Assist in design and delivery of the data quality monitoring processes, metrics, and key performance indicators for specific data objects. 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Data Governance or related field. 
  • Minimum of 2 years' SAP experience preferred. 
  • Minimum of 1 year leadership experience and people management skill. 
  • Knowledge of: SAP MDG; ServiceNow, SAFe, SAP CRM. 
  • Language skills: Excellent English (written and oral).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; required in functional teams and with business partners. 
  • Proven ability to lead a cross-regional team, work with and through others to achieve desired results. 
  • Strong continuous improvement approach and process oriented. 
  • Requires moderate travel (approx. 10%).
