Planning Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

•Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and evaluation of Production planners, Master Schedulers, and Supply Chain Analysts.
•Enforces established personnel policies.
•Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the production planning, forecasting, and demand planning.  
•Responsible for analyzing and setting correct inventory levels to meet customer demand requirements while also controlling inventory costs.  
•Guides team members to execute the activities of planning on schedule and with the highest quality to meet customer requirements.  
•Aligns global planning requirements with key stakeholders from sales partners and logistics hubs to ensure correct inventory supply in support of global demand. 
•Leads efforts to maintain the quality of the company business system to ensure successful daily planning and to continuously improve planning accuracy.
•Evaluates demand requirements and production capabilities to identify capacity problems.
•Provides daily updates on key planning performance indicators and reports on critical risks and disruptions to the production environment.  

What You Need to Succeed

•Bachelor's Degree in related field –  Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration
•4-6 years of related experience with production and/or demand planning.
•Experience in a supervisor role preferred.
•Experience using SAP Materials Management module strongly preferred.
•Experience with Lean principals preferred.  
•Strong interpersonal skills able to work with diverse group of colleagues.  
•Strong skills in Microsoft Office software products especially Microsoft Excel.
•Prior database experience, ability to run ad hoc reports and analysis.
•Knowledge of all types of machining and fabrication techniques.  
•Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and techniques.
