The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and
manages vendors for Rainin. This position will manage reliable and cost effective supply chain strategies to deliver the materials, equipment, supplies and services to the manufacturing and business operations. Leads team of strategic and tactical buyers to effectively execute the daily activities and strategic initiatives of procurement. Collaborates with all teams in the production organization to produce the products required to meet customer demand in a productive and cost controlled manner. As part of the Supply Chain management organization, works closely with planning, warehouse, and logistics teams in the control and optimization of the end-to-end supply chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and evaluation of strategic and tactical buyers.
•Enforces established personnel policies.
•Fosters good employee relations and the professional development of team members to ensure a highly effective team.
•Establishes and maintains positive working relationships within assigned teams and with all departments.
•Leads vendor/supplier selection and maintains key working relationships for raw materials, supplies and capital equipment.
•Negotiate with strategic suppliers/vendors for optimal terms including MPI, OTD, Quality, Total Cost of Ownership.
•Work with vendors to maintain and/or improve services. Send out Score Cards and coordinate conversations with selected and appropriate vendors regarding performance
•Seek and partner with reliable vendors/suppliers.
•Assess, manage and mitigate risks; perform cost and scenario analysis; identify cost saving opportunities.
•Review and manage active purchasing contracts to mitigate liability and ensure long term benefits and relationships with selected suppliers
•Coordination of Product introductions, changes (ECM), and retirement activities for procured parts and products
•Establish and maintain KPI's to manage the accuracy of procurement and establish a roll-out plan for Process Improvements
•Leads efforts to maintain the quality of the company business system to ensure successful daily planning and to continuously improve planning accuracy
•Collaborates with global and regional procurement teams to on strategic initiatives.
•Provides daily updates on key procurement performance indicators and reports on critical risks and disruptions to the production environment.
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities including but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving internal and external issues in a professional manner.
